By hybrid motor vehicle we refer to any vehicle which relies on 2 separate power sources for propulsion. Among the power sources for a hybrid car there are gasoline or diesel fuel, on-board or out-board rechargeable energy storage systems (RESS), hydrogen, wind, compressed or liquid natural gas, solar, coal, wood or other solid combustibles, etc.
When you drive up to the petrol station pump and fuel your car up with $10-$40 worth of gas, you may find yourself heaving a huge out sigh. How on Earth did gas become so expensive? Should you consider one of those new hybrid cars you saw on the television? Everyone’s talking about hybrid cars anyway. Hybrid cars and other types of cars may seem like a good idea, but before you go out and do something rash, maybe you should ask yourself a few basic questions about how you can begin to save on fuel.
In the past generally petroleum based motor oils have been used but although they are cheap, they are extremely bad for the environment. With consumers becoming more aware of their carbon footprint they are switching to synthetic motor oils but it is often difficult to decide on the best synthetic motor oil for your vehicle as not as much is known about it.
